KOTA BARU, Aug 6 — Barisan Nasional (BN) will resolve Kelantan’s water woes if it captures the state in the general election.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak(picture) said Kelantan people should not have water problems as they had been giving PAS the mandate since 1990.
“The BN government can solve this problem fast. While at the airport, I received a memorandum asking to resolve the water problem,” he said before taraweh prayers at the Kelantan Poverty Foundation here last night attended by over 10,000 people.
Also present were International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Dr Awang Adek Hussin and Ketereh BN parliamentary coordinator Tan Sri Annuar Musa.
Najib said the federal government would like to see Kelantan developed in an effort to implement national transformation for the benefit of the people.
“The Malays of Kelantan should become the key platform in the transformation efforts as the federal government did not discriminate opposition supporters.
“We are committed to help the people. These are the fruits of success and we want to be known as a successful Muslim nation.”
He added programmes implemented by the federal government are based on Islamic law. — Bernama
