KOTA KINABALU -- Sabahans should not fall for the tactics of the opposition which tries to give the impression that Barisan Nasional (BN) is shaky and disunited following the exit of certain leaders.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman, who said this, disclosed that it was merely the trick of the opposition to fish for votes in the coming general election.
Musa, who is also state BN chairman, said the situation in Sabah was actually calm and only certain people, especially in the opposition, who were overly excited.
"Don't worry. This is normal opposition talk. When two members of parliament leave BN, they can't stop talking about it.
"Actually, quite a number of assemblymen and MPs left the opposition in the past. We did not make noise because, to us, this is normal," he told reporters after handing over cheques under the Special Stimulus Package (PRK) for missionary schools in Sabah for 2012 at SM Lok Yuk Likas, here, today.
Musa said this when asked to comment on the statement by opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim recently that there would be another surprise in Sabah on Aug 12.
He said Umno and BN in the state were always united to ensure Sabah BN remained strong.
The Chief Minister was also confident the people of Sabah would continue to support BN because they were aware that only the BN government was capable of fulfilling promises made, especially related to development.
Musa said the contribution of RM3.7 million from the federal government for 74 missionary schools in Sabah this year, indicated the government was concerned about the needs of the people, regardless of race or religion.
Meanwhile, in his speech during the handing-over of raya goodies for the security forces at Tun Raffae Auditorium, Tun Mustapha Tower, Musa said the state government always appreciated the contributions of members of the security forces in maintaining peace and harmony in the country.

DeleteTahun ni pula khabar angin UPKO akan keluar BN. tidak tau sejauhmana kebenarannya tapi menurut Dompok perkara tersebut tidak akan berlaku dan beliau turut memberi kepastian bahawa tiada lagi pemimpin UPKO yang akan keluar parti.
