Hacker makes Anwar 'apologise' to Najib

Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim's official blog was last night hacked and replaced with a mock Hari Raya Aidil Fitri message posing as the PKR supremo apologising to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

The 'Hari Raya apology' has since been removed by blog administrators who confirmed that the message was fake.

NONE"This blog was hacked at around 11.50pm and a fake posting supposedly a special address by Anwar (left) was uploaded.

"The blog administrator team can confirm that the address was fake and was not by Anwar. Therefore we have immediately removed the said posting," read a clarification on the blog following the hacking.

However, a screenshot of the fake address has since been circulated on pro-Umno blogs with all round amusement that the opposition leader’s blog had been hacked.

An online transcript of the message read as follows:

"This year, I and my family would like to take this opportunity to apologise - from head to toe - particularly to Najib Abdul Razak and Rosmah Mansor whom I actually know well and are close to.

"I feel that I have sinned because of certain people in my team who have gone overboard in our ambition to pursue positions including the prime ministership, we have slandered Najib and his family”.

NONEIn the fake message ‘Anwar’ also apologised to Muslims his supposed support for Israel and the Bersih 3.0 rally, which it said had "damaged national harmony" - both the favourite ammunition of the PKR supremo’s detractors.

"Actually, I have also received wrong information about the Altantuya case. I admit that the information could not be verified," the fake message continued.

The hacker, who signed off as ‘Anwar Ibrahim’ added that privately, he did not agree with such attacks or actions but had done so due to pressure from non-Muslims partners in Pakatan Rakyat.

The message concluded with praise for Najib (above) that described the premier as "the most suitable leader and administrator for Malaysians".

The hacking occurred shortly after Anwar's one-hour live chat session on Google Hangout, which started at 10.30pm.
