Monorail stranded in Brickfields; 2 passengers slightly injured



RapidKL's monorail service was abruptly halted on Saturday afternoon around 2pm when a coach stopped suddenly in front of Siew Dor flats in Brickfields.

All 183 passengers on board were rescued by firemen who used skylifts to bring them down from the stationary coach.
A pregnant woman fainted and two others (a man and a woman) suffered light injuries due to broken glass.
All three were sent to Hospital Kuala Lumpur and are in stable condition.

The monorail service resumed in less than two hours after the incident.
When contacted, RapidKL said they were looking into the issue of why the train had become stranded'.- Star
