KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 3 — Sabah Umno liaison committee chairman Datuk Seri Musa Aman has denied that the party is on the verge of disintegration in the state.
“It’s normal for one or two persons to be unhappy, but let them do what they want to do as it is entirely their business,” he told reporters at the breaking of fast hosted by Sabah Foundation here last night.
He was commenting on the sacking of Datuk Seri Lajim Ukin as deputy housing and local government minister, three days after he announced his resignation from all positions in Umno and Barisan Nasional.
On rumours that more Sabah BN leaders will quit, Musa said they were merely stories cooked up by the opposition.
“Do not waste time making wild speculation. What is important, the government works round the clock in the interest of the people and has no time for empty talk,” he added. — Bernama
