PETALING JAYA -PKR strategy director Rafizi Ramli will lodge a report against Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Nazri Abdul Aziz and Michael Chia at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on Monday.
Citing the MACC Act 2009, Rafizi accused Nazri and the Sabah businessman who was recently probed by MACC over a RM40 million political donation to Sabah Umno of bribery
He said this in a press conference at PKR's headquarters today.
"According to Section 16(a) of the act, Nazri could be investigated if his son receives gratitude from Chia because of his position in the Cabinet," said Rafizi.
He pointed out that it was reported recently that Nazri had admitted in Parliament that he knows Chia, and that his son, Nedim Nazri was in possession of a Hummer H2 (WNX 9776) which is registered under Chia's name but he (Nazri) did not get anything out of it.
"The case is strengthened by Section 16(B) of the act that says it is still considered bribery even though Nazri did not receive the gratitude directly," he added.
Rafizi also said that Nazri should take these accusations seriously as it concerns his reputation.
At the press conference, Rafizi also presented video evidence connecting the Hummer to Nadim.
