Take me to court, Nazri challenges Rafizi

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Mohd Nazri Abdul Aziz has challenged PKR director of strategy Rafizi Ramli to lodge a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over his son's link with timber businessman Michael Chia.

Nazri (left, in photo), as reported in Malay daily Sinar Harian, told Rafizi to take legal action against him since the latter appeared confident with the alleged solid evidence that proves his son, Nedim Mohd Nazri (right, in photo), was using a car owned by Chia.

“I challenge (Rafizi) and (will) wait in court. I don't have to make report against him, he is the accuser, so he should bring the matter to court.

“According to our laws, whoever that makes accusation should prove it, not the accused.

“I also challenge him to report to the MACC,” he was quoted as saying.

Rafizi has informed the media that he will file a report against Nazri with the MACC this afternoon.

Rafizi (right), who had produced photographs of the RM459,000 Hummer at Nedim's apartment, had claimed this was a conflict of interest as it was Nazri who told Parliament that Chia was clearedof corruption in the RM40 million Umno's 'foreign political donation' controversy.

Nazri has denied this, arguing that the Parliament answers were given by the MACC which is an independent body, and he should not be responsible for his son's actions as the latter is already an adult.

“I don't sleep with my son. I'm not gay. My son is not my wife, my son is not my lover, I don't sleep with him,” he told the media last week.
