Before GE12, there was an unusual enforcement by local authorities, those time under BN rule of smashing and bulldozing temples and altars, terrorising other religions including kids accusing them of proselytizing, insensitivity towards other religion and ethnic beliefs and practices, and intruding into the civil liberties of couples enjoying a day out in broad daylight, namely non Muslim couples of rudely breaking 'khalwat' or close proximity, ie promiscuity.
And those vying for power, the opposition fellows, ie Pakatan literally went to the town and countryside condemning such insensitive acts, actually saying different things to different groups and community... and truth be that such temple destruction and hududization was BN's undoing causing them to loose seats and four states.
Fast forward with GE13 nearing, it's deja vu, this time the spotlight is on those who are now the State government and already behaving like they are the government in waiting. The Hindu altar destruction and the eyebrow and hair raising unkind cut to hair salons in Kelantan and now the so called indecent behavior which is equated as 'khalwat' by the opponents namely the BN and MSMedia, is probably the swan song for any Pakatan hopes to retain the states they held and dream of staying in the abode of the FLOM couple, who most likely are happy to call the election when they have whipped the tide against Pakatan for the 'hudud nonsense' (to MCA mostly) they have created hah!
PAS is living to its acronym of people against sanity, though my fellow supporters of this green party, no association to any vegan preference, would disagree. They call themselves People Against Satans but then the A can also mean 'Are' too eh? Anyway PAS is a party who has no qualms to turn Bolehland into an Islamic nation in practice, hasten actually because BN has declared it an Islamic nation, and PAS is just waiting to implement the Islamic laws which BN is afraid to implement to cling on to power.
That's the difference between PAS and UMMNO. One is not afraid to use religion to gain power while the other is afraid to use religion to also gain power. One wonders what God really wants in BolehLand, an Islamic nation declared and accept all the ills of corruption, abuse of power, bigotry towards other religions and race and plain insensitivity when it suites the power to be to impose apartheid like policies and implement them to gain political power. Or, God wants an Islamic nation where all is subservient towards His law in which case, hudud which seems the only obsession, attraction and visibility of Islam that is so much revered and talked about in BolehLand- is the law of the land. In which case, non Muslims are also subject to it. You can't really have the country where one side lives in holiness and just next door to you is Sodom and Gomorrah can you, where the non Muslims can have their wine, woman and whore kind of activities can you?
If what non Muslims are hearing is correct from PAS and UMNO holy fellows that non Muslims can have their way of life, then we have the most perfect model of an Islamic State where God and Sin viz the Devils live side by side hah! No wonder the BN partners leaders are accepted for their past indiscretions which point it UMNO practicing the perfect Islam towards its non Muslims leaders. Hmm but odd on the other camp, the indiscretions of the leader in waiting is unacceptable hah, oh forgot they pray to the same God!
But then to be fair to our ala Taliban PAS fellows, right now BolehLand being proudly declared an Islamic nation and state is already having such a situation, with the holier than thou on one side and Sodom and Gomorrah on the other. The commonalities that transcends the holy and the pagan and sinners is corruption, injustice, cronyism, abuse of power, racism and what have you.
To those shouting ABU, anything but UMNO, they think once Pakatan ever take over the federal government, those evil common bond will forever disappear from BolehLand, like some magical transformation similar to the mist of evil UMNO and BN being lifted off and everyone is changed into braders and systars hah!
And the ABU supporters think PAS is more trusted to rid the land of what they see evil in BN and UMNO now. But what system is PAS and Pakatan going to use to rid the land of corruption and all they are fighting to undo eh?
Hudud seemed to be touted not so aggressively by PAS at this moment because even if you claim to be a holy God loving jihadist, you still know when to play the 'devil's game' of keeping your holy intentions in check. Which is akin to selling your God 'short' by denying you will implement hudud. To play it safe you need to deceive your listeners, so that when you gain the people's trust and win political power, then you begin your reign. Whether the reign will be a dawn of Islam, Talibanisation or Iranian or Pakistan or Turkish model depending on what interpretation and where Islam holds its place in your government.
PAS' intention of imposing Islamic rule is known. But oddly, it's the UMNO and BN especially MCA fellows who seemed to be reminding all of us of what hudud will do to all of us, when it is implemented when UMNO is ready for it. MCA's fear of losing their gambling, drinking and pork eating is itself reminding us what hudud will do to all of us whoever is implementing it or when it ultimately is implemented right? Or is UMMO telling its party members and coalition partners they ain't going to implement hudud or Islamic law because they want to stay on forever? Which means, they are willing to bargain with their God and sell Him short not to implement His laws even if UMNO has already declared this bumi to be His kingdom huh?
If God is confused of UMNO's intention on Islamisation, we non Muslim folks are equally confused what kind of Muslims there are in BolehLand who seem to use their religion like some traffic lights, if you get green it's a go for hudud, but now traffic light is red so no go yet. And we have another group of Muslims who are like the orange light not willing or wanting or wondering when to implement it!
Politicians and their supporters are long known to be devious, mischievous and downright liars. Every dirty trick on the dirty book will be used to stay or gain power. We can tell GE13 is in the air because the intensity of attack on the opposition is beginning. The latest is just a taste of what happened pre GE12 and the MSMedia is revving up its gutter journalism and copies to max telling even Muslims that PAS wants to impose hudud, a Muslim law which seemed evil and against their religion. With MAS, playing the pharisees' role we can supposed.
So do we believe the latest altar smashing and 'hudud' laws on non Muslims, PAS and Pakatan shooting themselves in the foot? Or, the sleeper cells in the local authorities and religious bodies aligned to BN are being awaken to wreck havoc on their enemies? Remember we were reminded of the battle that BN is preparing, using any means to win hah!
The Pakatan fellows are likely back to their drawing board, struggling to ensure the UHu and double sided tape they are using to hold their coalition together are going to break lose and tear away their chances. Scrambling now to come up with all kinds of theories to do damage control hah!
It goes to show in politics you can't be the good guy because you will be the loser right? Pakatan trying to fight for justice and even to reduce corruption is being ridiculed by the government as just noisy fellows. Even 50,000 yellow tshirt fellows asking for a basic right to fair election is being ridiculed hah! What more of Pakatan selling their story to the people of ridding the land of corruption via their ABU call hah!
So should the latest incidents and more coming soon you can bet your last halal fried chicken, unraveled the Pakatan fellows, supporters and fence sitters who are willing to give Pakatan a chance over these incidences? Pakatan is scrambling to give their side of the story to quell any misconception and rumours but that is only within cyberspace. The MSMedia is still a potent weapon that will cause voters to give Pakatan a pass in GE13 and turned the Pakatan challenged into a passing past historical hiccup in BN 1000 rule over BolehLand we can supposed eh?
UMNO and BN are using taxpayers money to do campaigning and the lates one in Penang was hallmark of a political party campaign than a genuine government who cares for the people. You can spot the difference between a BN and Pakatan gathering. The former uses taxpayers' money to the millions and you get a theme t-shirt, emails and letters asking staff to attend, volunteers being paid to flash mob, march, freebies and of course free broadcasting coverage plus security personnel to ensure smooth passage of VIPs and direct crowds to the tents and what have you.
At Pakatan's gatherings you depend on the public's free will to come and join, and if it is a theme, the public has to fork out their own money including for food. No official bus to ferry supporters and you sit on floors and you keep an eye out for the law and signs of smoke and chemical water droplets about to rain on you hah!
In this author's posting well in 2010, it was pointed out that Islamic law, be it hudud or what have you infringes on the rights of non Muslims. One man's halal meat is another man's non halal poison hah! Your food ingredients are being shifted to a corner and you are treated like doing some very sinful activity when you go buy it and pay it at the counter. Or when food is served, it is your responsibility to cater to one religious sensitivity and if you didn't your God help you and you are treated like a conspirator of sorts. If the halal issue is sensitive and petty to one's religion and given so much fuss, why can't another believer also raises the same sensitivity and petty issue about it and also their fuss is considered and respected, huh?
Any religious officer, and it is true as PAS said, every state religious councils give their religious officers a right to implement Islamic laws ala hudud. To separate the holy from the pagan, we have seen religious officers even bring the law offices along intruding into religious houses, halls, gatherings, homes and hospitals in search of supposedly waylaid believers or proselyting , the body snatching incidents, families ripped apart due to juvenile forced conversions, others threatened with force and brainwashing and what have you. Why are such incidences in UMNO states not taken up with great concern by the media or BN especially MCA?
Many a times at clubbing and entertainment outlets, patrons are harassed very rudely by the authorities ridiculing and berating Muslims from being in such places! Forcing the place to close because of the 'raid' is itself infringing on the rights of non Muslims to a relaxing time sipping their larger on one hand and hugging the carlsberg gurl on the other hah!
And If you are having a drinking session in a kopitiam, you can be asked to show your IC card if they suspect you are a Muslim. So who say that non Muslims are not subject to hudud or Islamic law? Read the T&C of islamic products and services if you choose to subscribe to them especially many non Muslims taking their mortgage loans hah!
Having separate queues in supermarket does not infringe anyone's right to buy things at the supermarket. The inconvenience may be standing longer in the queue. It infringes if you take away the licence of a business, which did happen not only in PAS states! So are we going to be sucked into being told PAS are the Talibans and UMNO on the side of the forces of democracy or moderate Islam which noone knows what moderate means in Bolehland anymore hah!
No can do pass for PAS only? |
But hats off to BN for living up to their words of using any means so that PAS, Pakatan get Passed and is Past history come GE13 hah!
So are PAS or Pakatan fellows sabotaging their election hopes or can we blame the officers in the local councils from carrying out what have been passed by both BN and Pakatan lawmakers hah?! Of course one can say it's about timing? When it comes to enforcement especially God's law, you mean we are supposed to have timing ah? We bargain with God for a timing to enforce the law huh? - YAHMEH!!!
