SUNGAI PETANI, Dec 19 — Police have advised the public not to believe rumours and false information being blatantly spread on Facebook, Twitter and blogs.
Kedah deputy police chief Datuk Abdul Ghafar Rajab said there was no fighting, riots, deaths or burning of mosques in Sungai Petani, as claimed by irresponsible quarters.
“The situation in Sungai Petani is peaceful and under control,” he said at a press conference here, late tonight. — Bernama
