RM50 billion Sloppy Bad Planning MRT Route
It will cost a staggering over RM50 billion by today's estimate of BN's MRT project to supposedly eased the traffic woes in the Klang Valley. Though opponents think it's more greasing those given the contract hah!
Right now, the start of the project is resulting in scaring the beautiful landscape, removing vital service nodes and services, causing traffic inconvenience and permanently spoiling the peace, serenity and lives of many where the route passes.
Take the Taman Tun route which have forced the closure of ALL petrol stations from TTDI to Jalan Duta EXCEPT the Petronas Station, how conveniently. Motorists plying this route have no choice but to stop at this Petronas and the Petron near HELP which is outside the main route.
Beautiful old trees in one's backyard and on slopes are being chopped down, destroyed forever. Imagine right outside your backyard you are going to get a huge pylon and concrete structure for the MRT. Talk about privacy hah? Imagine the number of times you may feel the slight vibration or noise of the MRT as it passes along the route perhaps from 7 am to 12 midnight 24/7. Those who hope their property value will be high given the peace and serenity they paid so much for will now have to live with the fact some humongous concrete contraption is behind their backyard and passengers staring into their bedrooms hah!
Check on this along the Damansara route.
As usual, residents suffer when highways cut across their front yards or concrete pylons are next to their kitchen windows. All in the name of development they tell us. But they are for folks who don't even live along the route, eg MRT route, but to those who live away from the route. And these residents along the route have to bear the eternal suffering. It goes to show it's just plain sloppy bad planning.
Do our government care about the people? Do these people care because these supposedly good for the people communication lines and infrastructure eg electricity pylons or telco towers are all built smacked in your front or backyard and not theirs?
We are always told the underground option is unfeasible, too costly. But is it really so?
Pity all those homes along the MRT route. You suffer in silence and if you talk too much they will use they bylaws to force you to submit. It's the wild wild west railway development story in BolehLand hah! Sorry folks, you have to make sacrifices for the greater good it seems... and oh also for the many who are going to be filthy rich and are staying in quiet gated million ringgit enclaves far away from the MRT route. Promises fulfilled indeed and at whatever price and inconvenience doesn't matter hah! Haven't we been getting that for the past over 40 years huh? Bad sloppy rule like the sloppy bad planning of the MRT route? - YAHMEH!!!
