Ex-DO charged with criminal intent to outrage modesty

Former Seberang Perai Tengah district officer (DO) Roslan Yahaya has been charged with using criminal force with intent to outrage the modesty of a woman.

NONEBukit Mertajam magistrate Chiang Kian Hong fixed bail at RM8,000, and for re-mention on Feb 25.

Roslan, 51 (left), claimed trial to the charge under Section 354 of the Penal Code.

He was charged with attempting to outrage the modesty of one Noramiza Azmee, 29, on April 26, 2010, at his office on Jalan Betek, Sungai Rambai.
If convicted, Roslan will face up to 10 years in jail and or whipping or both. Since he is past the age of 50, it is likely that he will be spared the whipping.
azlanRoslan was released on bail with the condition that he would not ‘harass’ the witnesses.

One of the witnesses is Deputy Chief Minister Mansor Othman’s special aide, Zainal Abidin Saad.

Zainal, 52, was detained together with Roslan and another person by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in Seberang Jaya on Jan 3 for allegedly trying to cover up a sexual harassment case by paying the woman, believed to be a clerk in his office, RM30,000.

Roslan is represented by Anthony Samy, while DPP Amir Hamzah Othman is prosecuting.

  1. Bila derhaka pada mak kita mula derhaka pada bangsa dan seterusnya pada negara.

He is a good man actually but the wife is a witch.

There goes the story of man is mad when he lost his freedom.

Allah masih sayang padanya untuk kembali ke jalan yang benar.

Pilihlah pasangan dengan redha ibu bapa.
