Himpunan rally: Media blackout a ‘sabotage’

The Himpunan Kebangkitan Rakyat rally today "promises to be better because the police are not confrontational".
COMMENT
Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein has begun his usual trouble-making statements, but notice how his cousin, Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak is rather quiet.
The PM seems absent from the nation these days. Will his deputy Muhyiddin Yassin and former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad now use Najib alleged ill-health as an excuse to get rid of him?
Najib seems to have compromised the integrity of his office – the Office of the PM of Malaysia.
Anyway what’s important now is today’s rally. The police have given their assurance of full cooperation and assistance.
In an effort to sabotage the rally, the mainstream media has been quiet about this as well.
They (mainstream media) have not told the public that the police have given an assurance that they will be there only to guide all participants. And because of this attempt to sabotage this event, it is only proper that more Malaysians head for Merdeka Stadium later today.
Do not try driving your car there as it will create a grid lock situation. Walk peacefully with the others from the various meeting points and you’ll find it an enjoyable experience.
I was there at Bersih 2.0 and Bersih 3.0. The atmosphere was fantastic, save for us being attacked without any reason. This time the police have given us an assurance and a permit to hold the rally.
The only one trying to look mischievous is Hishammuddin. But I am glad the police have not taken notice of him and have decided to act the way they should this time.
Warning the BN government
This rally now promises to be better because the police are not confrontational. They have given us their blessings, so let’s move out there and use this opportunity to show the world that Malaysians are indeed a peaceful people, united and all.
Why do you need to be there?
We are not aiming to overthrow the government, that we do via the ballot box. We are marching out there to give notice to the Barisan Nasional government that the ballot box is sacred, and cannot be tampered with or even seen to be tampered with.
We are giving notice to the politically inclined head of the Election Commission that he will be held accountable if the polls and the ballot box are tampered with in any way whatsoever.
We are giving notice that we are going to exercise our right to vote as citizens of this country.
We are telling the EC and this BN government that they should not do anything like introduce illegal voters, allow one man more than one vote or anything else.
We are telling them that in the event the BN loses, they cannot use the very illegalities of their own creation to take these matters to court and have the court declare the elections void, the way Mahathir did with Umno in his battle with Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah in 1980s.
We, Malaysians, are doing this to save this nation
