The award is in recognition of the good deeds, bravery, service and sacrifices of members of the security forces, the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency, Civil Defence Department and Pasukan Sukarelawan Malaysia.
The recipients included Information Department and Special Affairs Department officers, Malaysian Red Crescent Society members, and a Felda Sahabat manager.
