Selangor Mentri Besar Khalid Ibrahim has sought an audience with the Sultan at 1.30pm, where he is expected to seek approval for the dissolution of the state assembly.
Khalid would be the first chief minister to follow in the wake of Prime Minister Najib Razak's move to dissolve the federal Parliament this morning.
The Selangor MB, who has been eager to call for elections ahead of the state assembly's April 22 expiry, is scheduled to hold a press conference after that.
