The Mystery Of The Quack "Dr" Anwar Ibrahim's 'PhD' in Quackology

Anwar Ibrahim has this morning accused some of the BN election candidates for having fake University qualifications. 

Well there is a reason for this accusation. Each time Anwar Ibrahim points a finger about some issue at someone else, it means he is trying to cover up his own tracks for the same sin or crime.

• So when he accused others of practising cronyism, it was a smokescreen to hide his own cronyisms. Remember Zahid Hamidi?
• When he accused others of corruption, he himself ended up going to jail for corruption for wrongfully ordering the Police to arrest and torture Ummi Hafilda Ali  just because Ummi Hafilda had written a letter accusing him of sexual misconduct.  What a terrible thing to do to a young woman.
• When he accused others of stashing money overseas, one of his close aides made a Statutory Declaration revealing all sorts of stories about some RM3.0 billion being stashed overseas.  Remember that story?
• When he started speaking about insan kamil and crap he was actually anything but an insan kamil. He was more like the "insane about Kamil and Kamilia" type.

So when Anwar starts pointing fingers at other peoples' qualifications I decided to check up his own qualifications. 

Anwar Ibrahim has a degree in Malay Studies. He got into Malay Studies because he did not qualify for any other faculty. Not even the Islamic Studies faculty which is where those with less qualifications usually end up.  

But somehow in the US, UK and Australia, Anwar Ibrahim is introduced as Dr Anwar Ibrahim.  Here is one example from the Sydney Morning Herald in Australia :

"During a visit to Sydney yesterday, Dr Anwar emphatically dismissed the notion that her release, and the Burmese election that preceded it, was any sort of step towards full democracy."

Wah! "Dr Anwar"?? "Doctor" dalam bidang apa? Advanced proctology?   Here is another example from the Scotsman - a UK newspaper.

"Dr Ibrahim is preparing to return to Malaysia where the coalition he leads is preparing to try and usurp the ruling Barisan Nasional alliance which has run the wealthy south-east Asian country for the last fifty years."

(Huh! Come again? "Barisan Nasional alliance has run the wealthy south-east Asian country for the last fifty years" ?? If the country has become so wealthy over the past 50 years then what is so bad about the Barisan Nasional?).

But here it is again - "Dr Ibrahim". Doctor of what?  Since when did Anwar Ibrahim the Malay Studies graduate become a 'doctor' of anything? 

He has not even been awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Bontot. And even if you are awarded an honorary doctorate, you dont put the honorary doctorate in front of your name. Otherwise it would be Dr Rosmah Mansor.  Yes Datin Rosmah Mansor has been awarded an honorary doctorate by a foreign university for her contributions  to educating children.

So can "Dr Anwar Ibrahim" explain why he allows himself to be addressed as "Dr Anwar" when he is overseas? But the moment he steps off the plane back in Malaysia, he becomes just normal 'Anwar Ibrahim The Snake Oil Seller' again.
