Pakatan Rakyat's 'Black 505' rally series maintained its momentum last night, drawing a massive multi-racial crowd at Jalan Beserah, Kuantan.
According to event organiser and Sungai Petani MP Johari Abdul, 30,000 people were in attendance as a mark of protest against electoral fraud.
It was hard for eyewitnesses contacted byMalaysiakini to make an estimate because many people could not fit into the carpark where the event was held.
But Star Online reports that cars had lined up for several kilometres along the road shoulder to the venue.
One participant, Rafizan Idrus, said most participants were youths dressed in black, consistent with the first three rallies of the series in Selangor, Penang and Perak.
"I saw mostly youths from different ethnic groups tonight at the rally," said a jovial Rafizan.
The main speaker tonight was again PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim, while the supporting cast included Pahang PKR chief Fauzi Abdul Rahman, PAS information chief Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man and Pahang DAP chief Leong Ngah Ngah.
The fifth leg of the rally will take place in Johor Baru tomorrow night.
