While DAP criticizes Barisan Nasional as being racist, it cannot be denied that DAP themselves are racist in their words and deeds. This proves that DAP’s criticisms of BN are hypocritical and that their so-called multiracial makeup is purely a mask for them to win over support.
According to media reports, Selangor DAP chairman Teresa Kok had said that she will continue to fight to ensure that DAP will be allocated 4 exco positions and that these 4 will be Chinese.
This is very strange, seeing that DAP has constantly attempted to portray themselves as a multiracial party, but now they are emphasizing that their 4 state excos will be Chinese. This argument by Teresa Kok directly exposes DAP’s racial-mentality.
Race-based model - whose?
DAP continuously accused us of racism, yet they keep bringing up the race of Cabinet Ministers. If they truly believe that race makes no difference and that all Ministers are capable of serving the people regardless of race, then why did Teresa Kok stressed that DAP’s excos for Selangor must be Chinese?
Is DAP saying that only Malays can take care of Malays, only Chinese can take care of Chinese and so on and so forth? Their philosophy that Pakatan is capable of looking after all racial groups regardless of the leader’s race is a very appealing one indeed, but apparently DAP themselves do not believe in this.
The people of Selangor have given a strong mandate to Pakatan with the hopes that they can provide better development and policies for them, but now that the elections are over, it seems that Pakatan prefers to waste their time and effort in fighting each other for power, thus causing a long delay in the state exco lineup. This is very disappointing for everyone indeed.
