KMPP wants ROS to expedite decision on DAP

GEORGE TOWN, June 6 — The Penang Malay Congress (KMPP) today urged the Registrar of Societies (ROS) to expedite its decision on the position of the DAP following its probe into the party’s December polls.

Its president Rahmad Isahak said this was a matter of public interest, particularly to the people of Penang as the the state government was led by the DAP.

“KMPP believes ROS has enough evidence as the investigation now has run into six months and we are confident ROS will do the right thing and not bow to any pressure,” he told a press conference here today.

He was commenting on ROS’s statement on Friday that the probe had found that the party had allegedly failed to notify 753 delegates on the polls. – Bernama
