Not a case of lost in translation. I didn't know whether to laugh or to cry after reading The Malaysian Insider's take on Zaini Hassan's latest Cuit Sikit column in Utusan Malaysia. I had read Zaini's latest piece Hidup Mati Peniaga Melayu, Legoland dan SilTerra earlier in the day and was dumbfounded by TMI's amazing interpretation of the article, which would seem to pit Zaini and his newspaper against the Chinese businesses. Now how on earth did they manage to read the article that way?! Usually, some nuances get lost when you translate an article from one language to another but the thing in this case is that there is no translation involved: the TMI's aritlce is entirely in Bahasa Melayu, as is Zaini's piece! A case of poor pemahaman of the national language?
