Manufacturing Jihadis Under Our Noses. What Is The Gomen Doing?

Here is a video which shows where the jihadis are being manufactured in Malaysia.  This video has been produced by the New York Times. You can click on the link here.

Before you watch the video here is a short intro by the NYT.

KUALA KETIL, Malaysia — A year ago, Mohd Lotfi Ariffin bid his family goodbye and headed for Syria, where he intended to fulfill what he saw as his religious duty fighting President Bashar al-Assad. He left behind his wife, their six children and his job as a religious school teacher here to fight with his fellow Sunnis more than 4,000 miles away.

Mr. Lotfi, 46, was one of a few dozen Malaysians who officials in this moderate Muslim majority country say have traveled to Syria to join militant rebel groups, including the Islamic State, the Nusra Front and Ajnad al-Sham. Security experts estimate that there are more than 18,000 foreign fighters involved in the conflict.

“It’s easy and it’s more organized there,” said Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, the chief of Malaysia’s counterterrorism task force. “You can join any group that you want there.”

Some Malaysians, like Mr. Lotfi, document their journey on social media — posting photographs and videos from Syria, some lighthearted travelogues and other posts depicting the gruesomeness of the war there.

Mr. Lotfi’s Facebook fan pages, since taken down, included many such posts, and they received hundreds and sometimes thousands of “likes.”

A New York Times video follows Mr. Lotfi’s path, as documented on Facebook, from his village in northern Malaysia, where he was a schoolteacher, husband and father, to Syria, where he sought martyrdom.

Here is the video :

My comments :  The Mat Sallehs newspapers know exactly where to go and exactly what to look far.  So now, very clearly and very accurately the New York Times has identified Malaysia as a jihadi manufacturing nation.

The New York Times is a very influential newspaper in the United States and has a worldwide readership.  You can rest assured that negative (but very true and accurate) coverage like this about Malaysia does not bode well for the country at all.

On the one hand the gomen is going around the world with the Global Movement of Moderates and saying that we are a moderate nation.

On the other hand Malaysia is also a country where 82 year old writers are being arrested by 20 or more 'religious enforcers' and charged in religious courts for expressing their opinions.

Similarly foul mouthed lawyers are also being arrested by up to 20 policemen and kept in the lockup for being foulmouthed. Being foul mouthed is not very sociable but it is not a criminal offence.

Yet jihadi producing madrassahs like the one in the video above are allowed to flourish. It is proven in the video that one ustaz fellow from this madrassah went to Syria to kill people and then got himself killed.

And now the kids in the video are saying that they want to follow in his footsteps. The ustaz fellow in the video is also exhorting them on.  The madrassah has 170 students and they are even building a huge new building - with donations from their supporters. Obviously there are strong supporters of jihadism in the country.

All these most contradictory and confusing behaviours (from the gomen's lip service  on moderation to this jihadi madrassah's freedom to promote jihadism) exist side by side in Malaysia.  Semua boleh ke?

This is a thoroughly confused country.

I have a question for you all folks. What will you do? Thank the sailor and go home for tea?

As a nation, as a society, we just dont know what to say or do. Just stand by and watch all these things happen.  Vote for the Pakatan? Err by the way, that madrassah in the video is strongly supported by PAS.
