RM80,000 cash, jewellery and shotgun taken by gang of six.
SIK: Six men arrived in two cars broke into a businessman’s home at 3am and took more than RM100,000 in cash and valuables in Kampung Pinang, Belantik today.
Sik police chief DSP Mohd Ismail Ibrahim said the robbers took RM80,000, jewellery worth about RM20,000 and a pump-action shotgun.
However, they abandoned their cars, a Perodua MyVi and Proton Wira, and were believed to have escaped in another vehicle, he added.
He said the robbers struck while the businessman, Mohd Bokri Majid, 43, wife, Hamdah Jusoh, 35, and their two children aged 10 and three, were asleep.
Mohd Ismail said the police found a house break-in tool which was used by the robbers and RM2,000 in cash, about 300 metres from the victim’s house, believed to have been dropped during the getaway.
