Baby girl bitten, scratched at nursery

The babysitter told the child's father that his daughter was bitten and scratched by other children at the nursery while she was preparing milk for them

KUALA LUMPUR: A five-month-old baby girl sustained bodily injuries, after she was believed to have been bitten and scratched while being under the care of a babysitter at a nursery in Pandan Indah yesterday.

Nur Ameena Nabila sustained bite and scratch injuries to her face, ears and right wrist.

Her father, Ahmad Mat Seman, 44, said the babysitter contacted his wife at 1.45 pm, asking her to come and take Nur Ameena Nabila home.

“When we arrived at the nursery, I was shocked to find my daughter with bite marks and scratches.

“The babysitter said that my daughter was bitten and scratched by other children at the nursery while she was preparing milk for them,” the father of five told Bernama here today.

Ahmad said Nur Ameena Nabila was currently receiving treatment at Ampang Hospital and that he had lodged a police report on the incident at 2.40 pm the same day.

Meanwhile, Ampang Jaya Police deputy chief Supt Mohd Nazri Nawawi confirmed receiving the report, saying that the case was being investigated.
