Indonesia executions: 'Bali Nine' pair and 6 others shot; one spared

According to numerous Indonesian media outlets, eight prisoners who had been held in the Indonesian maximum-security prison on Nusa Kambangan have been executed. The executed prisoners, who were convicted of drug trafficking, include two Australians who were part of the so-called 'Bali Nine'. Mary Jane Fiesta Veloso from the Philippines was spared at the last minute. 

The prisoners who died by firing squad were Australians Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran; Rodrigo Gularte, from Brazil; Martin Anderson, Raheem Agbaje Salami, Sylvester Obiekwe Nwolise and Okwudili Oyatanze, from Nigeria; and Zainal Abidin bin Mgs Mahmud Badaruddin, from Indonesia.
