Muhyiddin’s response to Najib’s ultimatum is awaited
The DPM is due back tonight and a large crowd is expected to greet him
PETALING JAYA: Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s return this evening from his overseas vacation is the talk of the town and in social media, and with good reason too, political analyst Shahbudin Husin observes.
In a blog posting this morning, he notes that Tosrin Jarvanthi, the Information Chief in the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, has been text messaging to all and sundry, telling them to turn up at KLIA by 7.30 pm to welcome Muhyiddin, who is expected to touch down at 9 pm.
This is no ordinary return, he says. “Posters are being prepared and the focus of attention will be the Anggerik Room at the KLIA which Muhyiddin is expected to pass through. He’s seen as the leader of the moment, the one who can help salvage the future of Umno and Barisan Nasional.”
Shahbudin says the following questions arise:

2. Will it signal a new chapter in the struggle in Umno and in the relations between Muhyiddin and Najib?
3. How many ministers, deputy ministers and Umno leaders will be brave enough to be present at the airport to greet Muhyiddin upon his return?
4. Will Muhyiddin signal a response to the ultimatum Najib gave during the Cabinet meeting last Friday when he wasn’t present?
Shahbudin figures that something important will happen this evening. Otherwise, he says, there would not be so much heat generated over Muhyiddin’s return because “the Deputy Prime Minister is known as a person who doesn’t like big gatherings to await his return from trips anywhere. He prefers such affairs to be low key.”
While Muhyiddin was away, Najib gave the Cabinet meeting last Friday an ultimatum on the 1MDB Roadmap. He wants those not with him on the Roadmap – dubbed by critics as Save Najib Roadmap – to tender their resignation. By itself, such an ultimatum has the potential to split the Cabinet, the government and Umno.
Hence, some sort of announcement was expected from Muhyiddin on his stand, says Shahbudin, referring to Tosrin’s text messages.

My comments : It is just after 3PM now. Enough time for Tan Sri Muhyiddin to be told about this blog. For Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin the time to act is now. The whole country awaits most eagerly for someone to step up and rally the people against this most vile, corrupt and useless administration the country has ever seen.
The polls show that support for Najib is now at about 40% only. Sadly the support for UMNO is less - just above 30%. This means that Najib and his few supporters are just using smoke and mirrors to create an aura that they have support. All their supporters are paid to show support. No money no support.
This also means that the vast majority of Malaysians are ready to see the PM get booted out of office. The vast majority of Malaysians will support Tan Sri Muhyiddin if he stands up to be counted. That moment is now.
So to all Malaysians, we have little choice but to show our support for Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin. We want Najib gone yesterday.
