Besides criticising the group, netizens also blamed the outlet's management for not enforcing the rules and regulations it had set.
PETALING JAYA: A photo showing five auxiliary policemen smoking right below a “no smoking” sign has gone viral on social media.
The five, in full uniform, appear to be taking a break and having a snack while two of them are smoking, the Sun Online reported.
The photo, which was uploaded on the Malaysia Velai Seivor Sangam – malaysiatamilan Facebook page on June 1, has since garnered 2,683 likes and 1,056 shares.
Netizens reacted angrily to the photo with some criticising the act of those who were appointed to supposedly uphold the law, not break it while some even blamed the outlet’s management for not enforcing the rules and regulations it had set.
Others sarcastically complimented the cops for setting a “good example”.
However, there were the usual handful of social media users who defended them.
The group appeared to be sitting outside an eatery at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2).
