YOURSAY ‘We have in place an illegal government in Malaysia.’

Dr M: Money in private account went for polls

Wg321: I just wonder who is so super-rich in Malaysia who can afford to donate RM2.6 billion into xxxxx’s personal accounts for the 13th General Election.

No wonder he behaves like Santa Claus during the GE, "You help me, I help you", and former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad has described him as someone who would say "cash is king".

I also wonder how much that singer from Korea by the name of "Psy" was paid for jumping around on stage in Penang before GE13. Of course, the Election Commission (EC) chairperson, who is clearly abetting xxxxx, will close both of his eyes because it is Umno.

Is Umno going to charge Mahathir under the Sedition Act for making such a serious allegation? After all, this “could affect the peace and cause national instability, disrupt public order and affect economic stability".

Magnus: Who is going to start the process to nullify the result of GE13? The fat cat at the EC?

We have total system failure causing a gridlock in good governance and that is why we have no real working democracy or opposition leader or rule of law or justice to allow us to throw the book at all the unconscionable crooks who are being alleged to be cheating and stealing from us by the shedloads.

I am still confused about NAR's (PM Najib Abdul Razak’s) interesting point that the purportedly 1MDB cash allegedly wired into his personal bank accounts was not for "personal gain" since I see it as follows:

1. NAR is a Malaysian citizen and an ordinary voter.
2. NAR is an elected MP for his constituents in Pekan.
3. NAR is head of Umno and head of the ruling BN coalition.
4. NAR is head of government and PM of Malaysia.
5. NAR is finance minister of Malaysia.
6. NAR is head of the 1MDB advisory board.

So which NAR is it from the above list who did not gain personally from the alleged RM2.6 billion?

Debater: Whatever it is, it is a crime. If the money is banked into the private account for personal use, then it is utter corruption. Even if it is channeled for the general election, it is still an illegal act as it breaches election funding laws.

In the first instant, Najib has to resign and be charged, but in the second case, GE13 is null and void due to funding irregularities.

Saphire: I feel sad for Mahathir. After reading what he said about Najib's alleged exploitation of RM2.6 billion for GE, I believe he has lost.

Assuming his allegation is true, it means that all BN Adun and MPs had a share of the RM2.6 billion spoils. It would work out roughly that every one of them received a few million ringgit which were unaccounted for.

So tell me, Tun, which BN Adun or MP did not benefit from the said money? And, based on this fact, how on earth can you get their support to go against Najib?

Kangkung: As an insider, Mahathir has made a serious allegation. Umno's win in the GE13 must be declared null and void.

The whole of Umno cannot get rid of Najib although there are so many criminal allegations against him because if they were to act against him, they are also implicated.

Paradise: Dear PM, can you please prepare the list of recipients (and respective amounts) of the RM2.6 billion distributed during the last general elections.

Please itemise them as we Malaysians have the right to know. Why did you ask 1MDB to borrow the money and utilise it for GE purposes?

I presume all BN component parties and pro-BN NGOs were the recipients, as all of them are keeping quiet on this matter.

Kuasa Rakyat: The mere fact that so much money was credited to his private accounts as reported which he himself has not denied, is bad enough.

But he is still not embarrassed? Any person with even an ounce of integrity would have resigned. Sigh.

Spirit of Malaya: We have in place an illegal government in Malaysia. It's now almost certain that the ruling government had seriously breached the election laws and many other criminal acts associated with it.

Going by what Dr M had said, two serious crimes had been committed - possessing illegitimate money in one's personal account without a valid reason/source of income and such money being partly or wholly utilised for a general election.

That's more than enough evidence to institute legal action and all the watchdogs should now move into top gear or otherwise we should accept that Malaysia is a failed state.

Progressive: Dr M, a simple question for you. Was the fund deposited in Najib's account from 1MDB? If not, then it is a different scenario - not a good scenario but then no public fund was involved.

You have claimed otherwise and said 1MDB fund it was. Well, this opens up a different question - how come so much money was donated to a political party?

This same question is also for the opposition parties to answer. Where are their millions coming from to fight elections? Let's have a transparent political funding mechanism.

Real Truth: I agree with Mahathir 100 percent. However, it was Mahathir who usurped the power of Parliament, the independence of judiciary, and stopping the police from working independently.

All democratic safeguards were thrown to the dogs and now he is lamenting that the PM cannot be touched. Even during your time, you, too, manipulated the media.

Hmmmmmmmm: If found to be true, the EC chairperson should be charge for dereliction of duty. Perhaps an amnesty can be given to BN MPs who cooperate and testify for the people.

Roar For Truth: If RM2.6 billion were used to win the 47 percent in GE13, I dread to think what the chief perpetrators are plotting now to bleed this country of many more billions to prepare for GE14. -Mkini
