"Red shirt" rally leader Datuk Jamal Md Yunos was arrested by police tonight in connection with a protest expected to be held at Petaling Street tomorrow.
He was detained by the Dang Wangi police serious crime division near the Ampang Jaya police headquarters after talking to the press at about 9pm.
Kuala Lumpur CID chief Datuk Zainuddin Ahmad said Jamal was being held to facilitate investigations into his alleged statement that there would be a riot at Petaling Street tomorrow.
