AFTER BOWING & SCRAPING TO NAJIB IN NEW YORK, GERAKAN'S MAH SAYS UNHEALTHY FOR ONE PARTY TO DOMINATE BN
Gerakan president Mah Siew Keong said it is not healthy for one party to dominate the BN coalition.
Though he did not mention names, it was an obvious reference to Umno.
However, Mah said it is healthy for the parties within the coalition to disagree occasionally.
"Parties inside BN can have differences of opinion.
"Of course it's not healthy for one party to dominate BN," he said in his opening speech at the Gerakan Life Members General Meeting 2015 in Shah Alam today.
He was referring to the red-shirts rally that took place on Sept 16, which was marred with racial incidents.
Prior to the rally, Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak had said that BN parties "agreed to disagree" on the gathering.
"This is the first time that BN parties have agreed to disagree.
"To me, this is a new development and although there are some who disagree, but I think that this is a healthy development," Mah said.
He continues to condemn what happened at the Sept 16 rally, saying that everybody wants to be a "racial hero" now.
"There is this trend now, you know. Not only trying to be hero of the race, but purposely saying things that make the other races angry. This is a very dangerous trend," he lamented.

Mah also brought up the issue of political funding, saying it is currently a huge national topic.
Political funding issues came to the forefront after Najib claimed that RM2.6 billion transferred into his account was a political donation from an anonymous Arab.
While everyone else was busy talking about political funding, Mah claimed Gerakan studied the issue and took action.
"At a time when everybody talked, talked and talked, Gerakan spent one over month studying it (the political funding issue)," he said.
He revealed that last week, the party submitted a memorandum to the government on regulating political funding.
Other than regulating political funding, they also insisted that there should not be any anonymous donation and that curbs be placed to prevent any "foreigners" from having control over local politicians. - M'kini
