Selangor civil servants to get half-month bonus at year-end

All Selangor civil servants will get half a month’s bonus at the end of this year, said Menteri Besar Azmin Ali who announced the gift as part of the state’s 2016 budget.

He said this followed a one-month bonus that was paid in May.

The bonus payment will cost the state government RM44.1 million in next year’s budget, Azmin said.

The state government also announced an increase in allowance for Muslim pre-school (KAFA) teachers from RM1,300 to RM1,500 per month.

This would benefit 6,900 KAFA teachers and 150 KAFA Integrasi teachers and cost the government a total of RM20.12 million next year.
