Anina: Najib doesn’t ‘trust’ Hadi on no confidence move

The Speaker appears determined to find every excuse to avoid receiving a no confidence motion on the Prime Minister.

KUALA LUMPUR: Sacked Wanita Umno Langkawi member Anina Saadudin has pointed out that it should not be too difficult for Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia to receive the no confidence motion on Prime Minister Najib Razak as the Barisan Nasional (BN) has the majority in Parliament. “Also, PAS President Abdul Hadi Awang has pledged support for Najib to remain as Prime Minister.”
It’s clear therefore that under the circumstances, she summed up, that the no confidence move will fail in Parliament.
Hence, Anina finds it extremely strange that the Speaker appears determined to find every excuse to avoid receiving a no confidence motion on the Prime Minister. “It’s clear that Najib doesn’t trust Hadi,” she wrote, respectfully it was stressed, in her Facebook.”
“It’s also clear, given the Speaker’s stand on the matter, that the Prime Minister feels that many BN MPs will support the no confidence motion against him.”
Anina wonders what else was there to persuade Najib to remain as Prime Minister if he feels that the BN MPs themselves are against him. “Where’s the Bugis warrior who was so powerful?”
Anina was commenting on Pandikar demanding that the Opposition submit to him a list of MPs in favour of the no confidence motion against the Prime Minister so that he can purportedly persuade the government side to allow debate on the matter in Parliament. “Again, this is really strange,” she added.
If that’s the approach being taken by Pandikar, she thinks that the government should hold a referendum to find out whether the majority are against the ruling BN, and if so, “better not hold elections”.
“We (BN) can hold elections only if we win the referendum,” she ventured.
