Teacher punched and kicked by male student after reprimand at school assembly.
SIBU: A secondary school disciplinary teacher was punched and kicked by a student, causing bruises on the face and a stomach injury, on Friday.
He was also verbally abused by the male student for reprimanding him at about 7.30am on Friday during the school’s morning assembly.
The teacher also suffered injuries on his nose. He lodged a police report at about 1.30 pm.
District police chief Mohd Kamal Kordi confirmed receiving the report and said police have identified the student.
However, he said police have not yet detained the student for investigation.
