CCTV recording shows an image of a man pacing in the men's prayer room.
SUNGAI PETANI: A woman lost about RM800 after her backpack was stolen when she stopped to perform her prayers at Padang Temusu Mosque, near here, yesterday.
Kuala Muda district police chief ACP Md Zukir Md Isa said the victim from Bandar Sri Astana, near here, stopped by the mosque at about 3.30pm and placed her bag in front of her while she prayed.
“She realised her bag was missing after prayers and later found the bag at the back of the women’s prayer room but her husband’s wallet and her mobile phone were missing,” he said.
Closed-circuit television recording of the men’s prayer room showed an image of a man, believed to be the suspect, pacing the room and police were still investigating, he said.
