So Gerakan Youth prefers to be in bed with RM2.6b man

YOURSAY | ‘If I were a Gerakan member, I’d be extremely ashamed to have a leader like Tan.’
Aries46: What a sordid youth chief who has no qualms about denigrating a family man and an opposition leader that holds 51% of the popular votes for no apparent reason whatsoever other than that he was asked ‘when he would join PKR?’.
Is ill-bred Tan Keng Liang a reflection of the kind of youths that make up the Gerakan youth movement? How would beleaguered Gerakan ever hope to regain voters' support with a leader that lacks basic moral scruples?
And what baffles is his rational to condemn Anwar Ibrahim, a world renowned victim of political persecution, is in support of his BN master who is in the limelight for a litany of scandals that has had devastating turmoil on the nation and peoples’ livelihood and clings on to power by sheer abuse of the law enforcement systems and the democratic process.
Tan lacks basic humanity, the fabric that binds our inter-ethnic society, and is unfit for leadership in any organisation and without a doubt, he is a persona non grata in Pakatan Harapan.
Ferdtan: Gerakan Youth chief Tan Keng Liang’s tasteless and unnecessary comment, “We should take care our back too”, shows his lack of class. No standard at all.
If I were a Gerakan member, I would be extremely ashamed to have a leader like him. He is worse than a gutter politician.
Tholu: Tan, your remark smacks of immaturity tainted with jealousy when you are prompted to comment on former Umno leader Saifuddin Abdullah's migration to PKR without any incitement.
It clearly exposes your latent disappointment and frustration on news of BN members quitting to join the opposition.
Saifuddin's choice of PKR does not make DAP a less desirable party. Surely you are not ignorant of the fact that scores of Malays have joined DAP. Further, take note that Saifuddin is of the opinion that, "... there are other parties who are doing an equally good job."
You have also insinuated that all MCA members are dishonourable and lack dignity as it was once helmed by an "unconvicted" sex offender. This incident also clearly shows the hypocrisy and biasness of the BN government since it did not prefer any charges against him.
I would rather remain in an opposition party instead of political parties that embezzle the people's money by the billions and that aspires to establish a fascist regime using underhand machinations.
GE14NOW!: It seems like you are happy to be in bed with a man who has received RM2.6 billion, ostensibly a donation for his party, into his own personal bank account and who up to now refuses to tell us in no uncertain terms where the money comes from, how it was used and where the balance is. What a hypocrite you are.
ChinHoChiak: Yes, Tan is happy to rub shoulders with those who misappropriate public funds.
Boonpou: This is how low Gerakan leaders can be, trying to outdo MCA leaders. I am really sick to my stomach how these Chinese have not come to a full realisation they have become insignificant years ago.
No sensible Chinese, unless those with business ties to Umno, will ever vote for Gerakan. Of course, MCA is already a forgone conclusion.
These parties do not know the meaning of the word, "disgusting." Do show me a single Gerakan or MCA current leader who possesses true leadership quality and I will readily rescind my disgust with these parties.
I will even apologise for my rudeness towards these imbeciles.
Anonymous_1408265047: I would urge Tan to read Mark Trowell's book ‘The Prosecution of Anwar Ibrahim’ before making a statement that he will live to regret.
The book is very clear, spelling out the names of the judges who overturned a proper judgment that Anwar should be acquitted.
If he read the book, he would have no doubt whatsoever that the original judgment (by the High Court judge) was the correct one.
However, he may well be sickened by how low Malaysia has fallen. As former chief justice Suffian Hashim said about the judicial process, "I wouldn't like to be tried by today's judges, especially if I was innocent."
He may well be utterly ashamed about being involved with a government that allowed such a thing to occur and, if he is not, he should be.
Kadir Sulong: My dear Tan, who are we to judge the offence of Anwar? We are mere mortals.
The day will come God will decide who is wrong and who is right. Confucius himself said, "Don’t do unto others what you don’t want others do unto you." So says Buddha and Jesus Christ.
Well, you will gain all the wealth, all the power and forsake a righteous man and in the end you will buried in the earth and your flesh will turn to earth.
Good luck Tan. Whoever reads this, please remind him of this.
BH Yap: A friendly advice to this Gerakan politician - don't be so arrogant. You may end up in a similar position in future. You will never know when you are in politics.
Anonymous 1689721435778173: I wanted to write something but having read through some of the comments above, I notice that many reflect my sentiments about Tan.
So it’s not worth spending further time and effort on this man. -Mkini
