PARLIAMENT The government said the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has contacted business tycoon Low Taek Jho to assist with its probe into SRC International Sdn Bhd.
This corroborates a statement from Jho Low's spokesperson, who said he had been in contact with the graft-buster.
"For the case investigated by the MACC, the MACC has contacted Jho Low's lawyers to set a date to record his statement.
"However, the MACC cannot reveal the details of the meeting so as not to disturb the ongoing investigations," Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Paul Low said.
Paul Low said this in a written parliamentary reply to a query from Jeff Ooi (DAP-Jelutong) on whether the MACC will arrest Jho Low to assist with its probe.
