Here is a fact : Tun Dr Mahathir has no title (Prime Minister, Member of Parliament, party president etc), no more in a leadership position, nothing yet the people still listen to his every word. That is also proof of leadership.
Imagine Najib stripped of his title, stripped of political leadership, no power to punish or reward - will anyone still follow him? I dont think so.
Folks did you know that when Abdullah Badawi leaves and arrives through the KLIA now, even the security personnel cannot recognise him? No one pays any attention.
Presently with Najib, Cash is King. So The Fugitive can write stories that Tun Dr Mahathir asked for donations from Malaysian tycoons. Including Ananda Krishnan who had sold his power plants to 1MDB at inflated prices and was prepared to donate a chunk of the gains as well. The story was more than one year late, because Tun Dr Mahathir was alleged to have met the tycoons more than a year ago in 2014. This is now almost 2016. The Press would say that this news is way out of date. Or that it is made up news.
RM10 million for each MP is not cheap. Why target only 40 MPs? Doesnt it make better sense to entice more MPs with say RM4 million each? The Fugitive did not explain if the MPs were from BN or Pakatan? If both, do Pakatan MPs cost the same as BN MPs?
Dr Mahathir has always maintained that he just wants Najib to resign. So this story sounds silly. If the story is true then how come despite more than a year's passing nothing has happened? Why havent the MPs taken up the RM10 million offer? Or is it possibly because the MPs have much more than RM10 million each already in their private accounts. They are not going to get excited by a mere RM10 million.
The Fugitive's rambling did receive an instant response. As if on cue, Mr Twitter said immediately that he will investigate as "this is a very serious matter". Others also tried to raise the subject before but there was no investigation then as the Police knew it was only politics. The Police will not waste time and money on political matters and let the politicians handle themselves.
So if the government cannot handle its politics, what can this government really do?
Tun Dr Mahathir is against money politics but to Najib "Cash is King".
Instead of wasting time pretending to investigate a blog post by a fugitive from the law, it is better to go and investigate 1MDB professionally and honestly.
Police reports have already been lodged a long time ago but Twitter is not doing anything. Instead they arrested the person who lodged the Police report. - http://syedsoutsidethebox.blogspot.com/
