Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak did not encounter any problems during his recent official visit to the United States, according to Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.
In fact, the government had not received any calls from the US, either from its Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) or Department of Justice, pertaining to the allegations of corruption involving the prime minister, she said in a written reply to Nurul Izzah Anwar (PKR-Lembah Pantai) at the Dewan Rakyat today.
"Until now, no representative of the US government, whether FBI or Justice Department had contacted the prime minister on this matter."
Nurul Izzah had wanted to know whether the prime minister was at risk of being arrested during his official visit to the US as the US grand jury was examining allegations of corruption involving Najib. – Bernama
