YOURSAY | ‘DAP has no more problem dealing with PAS. Just treat them as Umno lackeys.’
Ferdtan: Umno-PAS tie-up is good news for all, especially for Parti Amanah Negara and to a lesser extent DAP.
A picture paints a thousand words. The pink-attired PM Najib Razak and PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang together on the same stage will surely spur angry anti-Umno PAS members to leave the party to join the new splinter party.
For DAP, it has no more problem dealing with PAS. Just treat them as Umno lackeys; that is what they are.
The biggest loser will be PKR (and Selangor MB Azmin Ali). If PKR cannot let go of PAS after this, it is to their detriment. There will be a backlash against PKR when non-Muslims decide not to vote for them as they will be treated as a pro-PAS/Umno allies.
Many of the Pakatan supporters who had been calling for PKR not to accept PAS in Pakatan coalition (in whatever political cooperation) have now been proven right.
The cooperation from the look of the events that had taken place between PAS and Umno, from statements issued to the top leaders appearing chummy together on the same stage, suggests that PAS is about to accept Umno’s hand in political ties.
Both leaders turned up wearing the same pink attire. What more proof PKR needs to confirm that Hadi Awang is in league with Umno? This ‘seeing-no-evil’ by PKR is going to bring the downfall of Pakatan.
Quigonbond: We can sure learn a lot from Hadi Awang – that Muslims are not supposed to clash over ideology. So if you have a Muslim who espouses terrorism, we should say - that's okay.
If we have a Muslim that espouses dictatorship, political brutalism and abuse of power, we're supposed to say - ah, that's okay too, we're all brothers.
And if a Muslim practises corruption, I suppose Hadi Awang will say - take, take some more. There will surely be world peace under his wise counsel.
Tpn: Meanwhile in Klang, Umno chased out PAS Unit Amal from a flood relief centre. So much for cooperation. Again, Umno making PAS look like fools.
Appum: Perhaps PAS (Hadi) is keen to align to Najib in order to learn from the ‘sifu’ how to obtain such a huge ‘donation’ from the Arabs.
That is a great political feat not many world leaders can achieve.
Hadi said "Malays will not become like Arabs where Muslims fight each other just because of differences in ideology" and "Muslims here may differ in opinion but this will not lead to proxy wars... we must avoid clashes due to differences in ideology."
Very impressive statements indeed. My questions are:
1. Are Shite Muslims allow to freely practise and follow their ideology here?
2.Why are we "fighting" and demonising "Isil" here. We don't welcome them here, do we?
3. Is Hadi talking about PAS’ version of Islam or universal Islam?
4. Why is there now in Malaysia an Islamic party called PAS and another called Amanah? Certainly they have differences in approaches and ideological understanding.
But will PAS accept Amanah with open arms? No "fighting " and criticising them? No proxy political wars?
Let us hear what PAS has to say, especially Hadi, because from our observation, he talks one thing and does the opposite, and he even stabs you in the back.
YF: "And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, "Oh, I wish I had taken the Messenger’s way. Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend." (Surah 25:27-28)
The late Nik Aziz Nik Mat upholds the Quran as his guide which explains why he does not want to associate himself with Umno.
Hadi Awang, on the other hand, has no issues going against the Quran because his religion is Umno.
GE14NOW: But the Arabs are great donors, are they not? Apparently there was one (or a number of them - the details are somewhat cloudy) who gave RM2.6 billion to the man sitting next to you, Hadi Awang.
Is it not good to emulate those who are generous? Or do you prefer to cozy up to those who are crooked while you disguise yourself in a robe of religiosity?
Kawak: Hadi Awang felt obligated and grateful to Najib when the latter helped him when he was hospitalised in Istanbul.
Najib followed up his visit to Hadi when he came back and was admitted to IJN (National Heart Institute). The rest is history.
Hadi Awang had never attacked Najib or 1MDB but instead let his deputy to do so. Umno and PAS cooperation is for real.
Anonymous_4031c: This is a marriage made in heaven. Former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad eat your heart out. Don't be envious of Najib's ability to control PAS.
No other leader has this magnetism like Najib. Remember, he even pulled in RM2.6 billion in donation. -Mkini
