BUT WILL NAJIB EVEN HOLD GE-14?: VOTE & KICK OUT INCOMPETENT MINISTERS

BUT WILL NAJIB EVEN HOLD GE-14?: VOTE & KICK OUT INCOMPETENT MINISTERS
You've probably worked with an incompetent boss before. They micro-manage, they are mistrustful, they can be abusive, obsessive, indecisive, and they have no respect for you. One can request a transfer to another department, and if things are intolerable, one could resign.
What happens when you have incompetent Umno-Baru and BN ministers? You can't sack them. One minister suggested, "If you are not happy with the Malaysian government, you can migrate." Not everyone has the means to move. As we have seen, a no-confidence motion is an option that will not take place in Malaysia.
Unfortunately for us, rotten ministers and senior politicians, are in charge of formulating policies which have a direct impact on our lives. One former PM, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, systematically removed the checks and balances which would have curbed the excesses and abuse of power, by these politicians. The irony is that he now has difficulty in trying to get his own way.
When we complained about the GST, Datuk Ahmad Maslan, the former deputy finance minister donned an apron, told us how to manage our food budget, then showed us how to cook fried rice.
The dish may have been made from GST-free ingredients, but the novice cook forgot that the rice industry is regulated, distributed and monopolised by one Umno-Baru crony, Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Al-bukhary. Ahmad Maslan's much criticised dish is itself an analogy for the state of our economy.
Ahmad Maslan, who is now the deputy minister for International Trade and Industry, has put his foot in it again, when he told Malaysians, who complained about the rising cost of living, to take on two or more jobs.
He has no empathy for families on very low incomes or single parent families, who chase a few ringgits more with two jobs, but have no work-life balance.
The appointment of Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri, the Agriculture and Agro-based Industries Minister, is bewildering.
He is a divisive figure, with his call for Malays to boycott Chinese traders. He is also ignorant of the law and claimed not to know that turtles are a protected species. He is either a liar or an idiot.
Last year, a simple case of the theft of a mobile phone, escalated out of control. The speed of the ensuing riot, suggests a degree of advance planning. The 1MDB and RM2.6 billion donation, dominated the news. The move tapped into people's fears, about racial riots, and took the heat off the 1MDB scandal.
Ismail Sabri set-up the equivalent of a Malay Low-Yat Plaza and 35 Malay traders, were given six months free rent and free renovation of their business premises.
The Malay traders learn from the example Ismail Sabri is setting, that meritocracy matters little, and that bad behaviour is rewarded.
How do these men become MPs? Fresh graduates become political secretaries, or personal assistants, to a politician. They lack experience of the real-world, but when an opportunity arises, they stand for election, and get elected. Their future, as career politicians, is set for life.
Most of these failed MPs share similar characteristics.
First. They have an exaggerated sense of self-worth.
Second. They are insensitive to the needs of the electorate. They only respond to the electorate, once every five years, when they come like The Three Kings who brought gifts, to The Baby Jesus, in his manger.
Third. They hide their insecurity behind their racism, and religious hypocrisy. They are desperate to be wanted, but when they lose the respect of the rakyat, they will secure an election victory, by hook or by crook.
There is a simple solution. Kick them out of office!
GE-14 is approaching. The canvassing started soon after GE-13. Some critics will say that the results are already fixed. 1.5 million Bangladeshi workers are being imported. Gerrymandering is a perennial problem.
Do not stay at home on election day, but go out and vote. If you do not, your vote will be used by a stranger. Every vote counts. You have seen the personalities of some of these ministers, just make sure, you reject them. - - http://www.theheatmalaysia.com/
