Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) would not be able to appeal the attorney-general's (A-G) decision to close the case of the RM2.6 billion found in Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's accounts.
The former prime minister said any quarters who wished to appeal against the A-G's decision would be taken to court.
"I think he (Apandi) believes MACC is under the A-G," Dr Mahathir told reporters in Putrajaya today.
"Those who report will be arrested for reporting," he said in commenting on MACC's plan to raise the Attorney-General's Chambers decision yesterday, with the MACC operations review panel.
Apandi yesterday said Najib had not committed any wrongdoing in the RM2.6 billion donation and SRC International Sdn Bhd cases.
He said there was no evidence to show criminal wrongdoing in the donation Najib received from the Saudi royal family, part of which he later returned.
The A-G said Najib had not abused his power in the Cabinet, which approved the government's guarantee of a RM4 billion loan that SRC International took from Retirement Fund Inc (KWAP).
