Syed Omar Syed Agil is suing a college for suspending him from his duties over an internal investigation on claims of improper conduct in the college.

KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court has granted a temporary injunction to Institute Professional Baitumal chief executive officer Syed Omar Syed Agil on the college suspending him from his job pending an internal investigation.
Syed Omar’s lawyer Amer Hamzah Arshad said this after meeting Justice John Louis O’Hara in chambers on Monday.
“The ad-interim injunction was granted, pending the disposal of the inter-parte injunction hearing,” he said. “The hearing was fixed for February 12.”
On December 16, Syed Omar Syed Agil sued the college for suspending him from his duties over an internal investigation on claims of improper conduct in the college, which he reported to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and police.
He was suspended on October 7 last year.
He filed an injunction to rescind the suspension.
Syed Omar also wants to be reinstated to his position as CEO.
