Tiny Kuwait To Send Artillery Battalion To Defend Saudis Against Houthi Tribesmen !!

Saudi Arabia has the third largest defense budget in the whole world after the US and China. See this table :

Looking at the % of GDP and per capita defense expenditure the Saudis are No 1 in the world, at 10.7% of GDP and a per capita defense expenditure of US$2803.

This is more than the US.  Yet the Saudis are not able to defeat kain-pelekat wearing Houthi tribesmen in Yemen.  

Despite paying so much, the Saudis do not have as many tanks and airplanes. Why? Because defense contracts have been the modus operandi to siphon money from the Saudi treasury.  An M1 Abrams tank may cost US50 million (for example) but the 'Saudi middle men' will jack up the price to multiple times that amount. The excess is siphoned out to pay for their palaces and private jets. Thats how the system works in Saudi Arabia.

The war in Yemen is going so bad that the Saudis have arm twisted tiny little Kuwait to send a whole battalion of artillery to defend Saudi Arabia from the Houthis. Now they say the Houthis are committing an aggression against Saudi Arabia. What a joke.

This is a joke. When Saddam invaded Kuwait in 1990 (25 years ago) the Saudis saved the Kuwaiti rulers asses.  The entire Kuwaiti ruling family ran away to Saudi Arabia. Now the Saudis are collecting on that old favour.  It is time for Kuwait to save the Saudi ass. Well it may not work this time.

In 1990 there was George Bush Senior, Margaret Thatcher and General Norman Schwarzkopf (Stormin' Norman) to kick Saddam's ass. 

Now, with the US no more needing Middle East oil at all, and with Obama being such a wussy, the Saudis and Kuwaitis may have to bargain with their cut-throat (literally) bedouin cousins in Yemen all by themselves. Ouch. 

The Kuwaiti artillery battalion will be based inside Saudi territory. I believe the Houthis will take them out.
