Property broker’s Honda Accord badly damaged in attack last night in Sibu.
SIBU: A property broker sustained losses amounting to about RM10,000 after a coconut-shaped firecracker was hurled at his car here last night.
In the incident, believed to have happened between 9.30pm and 11.30pm, the bumper, rear windscreen and lamps of the Honda Accord were badly damaged.
Sibu Deputy Police Chief DSP Martin Khoo said initial investigations found a giant firecracker, shaped like a coconut, was hurled at the car.
The motive for the incident had yet to be determined.
Police are studying a closed-circuit television recording from an office in the area to identify the suspect.
The case has been classified as mischief under Section 427 of the Penal Code.
