Pandan MP calls Latheefa Koya a 'coward lawyer', as original issue of 'women and money' in Selangor government deals continues to hang over PKR.
PETALING JAYA: PKR Secretary-General Rafizi Ramli is now embroiled in an internal fight with the party’s central committee member Latheefa Koya, according to leaked screenshots of an exchange on the WhatsApp mobile messaging service.
Rafizi was also understood to have dared Latheefa into a debate through a series of chats which took place in a closed chat group called Majlis Pimpinan Pusat (MPP) (Central Committee).
The Pandan MP also stated that Latheefa is a “coward lawyer” because she did not dare to engage in a public debate, and said that she should be left alone “barking”.
However, Latheefa hit back at Rafizi, saying that it was he who had withdrawn from the debate and subsequently instructed Rafizi to organise a debate between the two.
FMT had attempted to contact Latheefa for further comments, but she did not wish to.
“Ooh, I can’t. I can’t comment. Sorry,” she said.
PKR Vice-President Tian Chua was also asked regarding the fight between the two, but he had refused to give any comments.
Previously, Rafizi had confirmed that he was behind the messages in WhatsApp claiming corruption in the Selangor government.
The message that was leaked from a closed chat group, which comprised party members and Reformasi supporters, had threatened to reveal allegations of how women and money were part of deals involving the state government.
