PBB deputy president Abang Johari Abang Openg has defended party president and Sarawak incumbent chief minister Adenan Satem's decision to limit PKR deputy president Azmin Ali's stay in the state.
"Azmin said Sarawak is not (Adenan's) father's state.
"Let me answer him (Azmin). This is (Adenan's) father's state, not your father's or grandfather's," Abang Johari said at a PBB gathering in Miri today.
Azmin made the remark on Saturday while slamming Adenan for asking the Selangor menteri besar to write an official request if he wants to extend his visa.
"This is not your father's state, this state belongs to all Sarawakians," Azmin had said.
Critics of the ban point out that it is against the Immigration Act, which stipulates Sarawak's autonomous entry policy does not apply to those entering on legitimate political activities.
Today Sarawak PKR Youth said they are considering suing the state government for the ban, which has largely affected their leaders as well as DAP's, two of the largest contenders in the Saturday state election.
