Kapcai ban a possibility, like me marrying you, Ku Nan tells reporter

Federal Territories Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor today said the ban on lower-powered (kapcai) motorcycles in central Kuala Lumpur was only a "possibility".
He had earlier said the government was looking at banning 50cc to 150cc motorcycles from the city centre to cut emission and congestion, and the incidences of snatch thefts.
"I didn't say we will ban them. You all misinterpreted it. I said it is a possibility.
"Do you know what is possibility? Like there is a possibility that I will marry you. Like that. But I am already married," he said, to laughter from reporters.
Deputy Federal Territories Minister Loga Bala Mohan, Kuala Lumpur Mayor Mhd Amin Nordin Abdul Aziz and Uda Holdings Bhd chairperson Shafei Abdullah were similarly amused by the remark.
Tengku Adnan was asked on why the government was not looking to ban vehicles producing higher emissions from the city centre if emissions were the concern.
Natural Resources and Environment Minister Wan Junaidi Taanku Jaafar also said the ban on lower-powered motorcycles was not reasonable if the aim was to reduce emissions.
Wan Junaidi said it would better to ban lorries, buses and cars that produced higher emissions.
Affordable home units in Kampung Baru development
Tengku Adnan earlier officiated Legasi Residensie Kampung Baru units of the Federal Territories Affordable Homes (Rumawip).
The three bedroom-two bathroom 206 units developed by Uda Holdings Bhd cost RM300,000 per unit and were 807 square feet in size, with covered parking.
The project would be ready in two years, he said.
"The units will be in a 43-storeyed block, among commercial units. The affordable home units will be prioritised for Kampung Baru residents before it is opened to the general public," he said.- Mkini
