‘Malaysia, where politicians can make the impossible happen.’

YOURSAY | ‘When a PM is not known for telling the truth, rumours abound.’
Wira: A pro-Umno portal, MyKMU.net, has criticised the spread of a false claim that Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak had booked “41 presidential suites” for his vacation in Bali, Indonesia.
It described the supporters of Pakatan Harapan and former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad, in spreading slander, as lacking intelligence and religious knowledge.
MyKMU.net, the best way to dispute "malicious" claims is to reveal the actual itinerary and places where the parties involved stayed after the event.
No one would ever think that RM2.6 billion could find its way to the personal account of Malaysian Official 1 (MO1). However, that did happen.
A hotel with 41 presidential suites - impossible? Think again. Malaysia is a place where politicians can make endless possibilities happen.
Annonymous: MyKMU.net, don't “syiok sendiri” by “syiok”-ing your boss. You can twist and spin and be perpetually in denial mode, but the fact is no one believes an infamous kleptocrat, period.
The issue is this - just get the relevant parties to return the assets and missing money from 1MDB.
Yes, you are absolutely right, as a lack of “intelligence and religious knowledge" would corrupt anyone, and make them rob and steal from the poor rakyat.
Anonymous_1388029052: When a PM is not known for telling the truth, there are bound to be a lot of rumours concerning him.
Headhunter: "So even if he (Najib) wants a lavish vacation, this is not surprising given his background of possessing wealth." Well spoken, MyKmu.net. We rest our case.
Mosquitobrain: Why blame others when the mainstream media are lopsided and not reporting the truth?
My bet is still on social media even if their reports contain only 50 percent truth rather than be kept keep guessing by the mainstream media.
Keep your spinning and continue to heap praises for PM Najib aka MO1 and wife.
Doc: Malaysian taxpayers can expect more letters from the Inland Revenue Board after the Raya holiday break asking them to pay more taxes on top of the taxes they are already paying to finance this Najib family vacation in Bali.
Newday: The opposition is in a state of panic over the prospect of losing Dr Mahathir Mohamad before the next general election, according to Umno information chief Annuar Musa.
He claimed that the opposition is harping on the US Department of Justice's (DOJ) allegations against 1MDB in order to divert public attention from the government's decision to form a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on the forex scandal.
Annuar, announcing a royal commission for the 20-odd-year-old forex trading debacle is a total diversion from the 1MDB theft and the extremely urgent need to get all the facts about it out into the open. A Royal Commission for 1MDB is the only way.
Annuar, may I remind you that yes, Malaysia gambled naively in forex trading in the 90s. We got burnt, yes. So what? That was the risk at the time. 1MDB is allegedly premeditated theft on a grand scale.
You seem to be unable to recognise these basic and clear differences. No diversion, no smokescreen - 1MDB is here to stay and all these lies and diversions will be exposed for what they are.
Anonymous #11109846: The losses in the forex exercise during Mahathir's time were actually business losses. The money was lost to those who gained it, as always happens in trading.
The money lost was not pocketed by those running the forex. It was pocketed by those traders who won the bet.
In the case of 1MDB, the money lost was allegedly stolen by various people associated with the prime minister. Annuar, there is a big difference.
Anonymous 2436471476414726: Annuar is the master of spin. Now he says the 1MDB issue is to divert attention from the RCI on the forex loss. What a warped mind he has.
Annuar, it is the RCI which is being used to divert attention from the 1MDB scandal, not the other way around.
The DOJ civil suit is not politically motivated. If so, tell us what political motivation do the US, Singapore, Swiss and Luxembourg authorities have in taking action against those who siphoned off and laundered 1MDB money?
Pray tell us, why would the whole world want to topple the BN government?
Since you do not agree that 1MDB money has been stolen, can you tell us why the government wants to classify the auditor-general's report under the Official Secrets Act? Why was the previous attorney-general forced to retire?
FlabberPro: While this is a humourous piece, I must say that the author R Nadeswaran has penned my wishlist for the nation.
As a matter of fact, this is what we really want. That our leaders are worth our respect and admiration for their boldness and bravery to face the media, the rakyat and the world at large for all these allegations and scandals.

The way they are treating us now is as if we are not worth their attention, or their time, to speak a word of assurance that they are doing all they can within their powers to make things right again for this nation.
Yet, the irony is, they just celebrated a holy month and fasted for 30 days. - Mkini
