PM Najib: Opposition hasn’t any credibility

They can’t even decide who their PM should be and have failed to deliver on their promise to have free tertiary education, says Najib Razak

SHAH ALAM: The opposition cannot be regarded as a credible coalition when they do not even have a proper organisational structure.
Umno president Najib Razak implored the opposition not to play politics that would only serve to tarnish Malaysia’s future.
“That is why the opposition doesn’t have credibility.
“You have a ‘top dog’  who regards himself as better than anyone else. You have a de facto leader and you have a president. You also have an interim prime minister.
“What is an interim prime minister?
“You can’t expect the people to vote for you when you yourself don’t even have a proper governing structure.
“The people deserve to know who is going to be the prime minister,” he said at the Umno Shah Alam division delegates’ meeting here today.
Najib also slammed the opposition party for not holding on to its election promises.
He said the opposition had promised to have free tertiary education for the people but there had been no results, said Najib.
“Even though they form the state government in Selangor, we haven’t seen Universiti Selangor (Unisel) giving out free tuition fees.
“Just one course at Kolej Universiti Islam Selangor (KUIS) costs RM48,654.”
Najib urged Shah Alam Umno to win back Selangor from the current ruling government.
Najib said if Barisan Nasional (BN) wants to regain its footing in Selangor, it must start from Parliament.
“It’s a game of numbers. If we want to win back Selangor, we must have planning that will win the hearts of people in Selangor.”
Without giving any timeline or other details, Najib said a special manifesto for Selangor will be devised to attract voters.
“We lost Selangor in GE12 and GE13. We must stand together stronger. We have more than 100,000 voters in Selangor.
“For us to win, we must think like the opposition and as the opposition party, we should not rest on our laurels.”
Najib also announced that he will allocate RM3 million for Selangor Umno to carry out its tasks. -FMT
