Blogger Milosuam freed, vows to fight on

Blogger Yusuf Al-Siddique Suratman, better known as Milosuam, was today freed after five days in detention, following his Dec 8 arrest for sharing a page of a leaked MACC witness statement on his blog.
In a video message shared on social media, Yusuf said he would not be deterred by the arrest.
"I feel my arrest was a form of tyranny and victimisation. However, it in no way deters my spirit.
"Instead, it is a fire that will spur be on to become stronger. Lawan tetap lawan (fight on)," he said.
Yusuf also thanked his lawyers, as well as MPs and friends who supported him during the period of his detention.

The MACC witness statement, which was uploaded on a separate blog, first came to light when DAP Senai assemblyperson Wong Shu Qi questioned Johor Menteri Besar Mohamed Khaled Nordin (photo) about its legitimacy.
The witness statement had implicated Khaled in a graft case concerning the conversion of real estate from bumiputera to non-bumiputera status.
The MACC later confirmed its witness statement was leaked and lodged a police report.
Khaled later denied wrongdoing when addressing the Johor State Legislative Assembly, and dismissed the claim as "slander."- Mkini
