KIT SIANG IN COMA? NONSENSE, DAP LEADERS TRASH MALICIOUS RUMORS FROM NAJIB CAMP

KUALA LUMPUR – Allegations that DAP’s Lim Kit Siang is in coma is “rubbish” as the party parliamentary leader is recovering well and even playing Pokemon, party leaders said today.
When contacted, DAP publicity chief Tony Pua told Malay Mail that the claims were absolute rubbish adding that Lim was “still recovering but feeling good, playing Pokemon”.
Lim was in the past reported to have played the wildly popular reality game Pokemon Go, reaching Level 23, back in September 2016.
Pua also clarified that Lim did not go abroad for his surgery, saying: “He’s at home, the operation was done in Penang”.
DAP deputy chairman Gobind Singh Deo also dismissed the claim.
“That is nonsense. He is certainly not in a coma. I visited him last week in Penang. He is recovering well and will resume official duties soon,” he said in a text message.
When contacted, Johor DAP chief Liew Chin Tong said that Lim will be attending several events in the state at the end of this month.
“Lim Kit Siang will participate in a series of events in various parts of Johor. Details will be announced soon,” he said.
Lim is the Member of Parliament for the Gelang Patah seat in Johor.
Earlier today, news portal Malaysia Gazette reported Pertubuhan Minda dan Sosial Prihatin president Ramesh Rao as claiming that Lim was in critical condition in Singapore and suggested that the latter was in a coma.
Last December 27, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said the 76-year-old Lim had successfully undergone surgery on December 19 to remove a small malignant tumour in his kidney and that doctors expect the latter to make a full recovery without complications.
“Biopsy tests on the small tumour removed disclosed that it was a Stage 1(a) cancer, the lowest-grade cancer possible. Doctors also expect a full recovery,” Guan Eng had said then.
He added then that Lim had begun to take walks as part of his post-surgery recuperation, with constituency work at Gelang Patah to be handled during the recuperation period by Kit Siang’s special representative Ng Siam Luang and Kluang MP Liew Chin Tong.
