He says this resulted in only one question being answered during the 40-minute question time.
IPOH: Dewan Rakyat Deputy Speaker Nga Kor Ming has criticised Perak Assembly Speaker Ngeh Koo Ham for being “too soft” in handling the proceedings in the house.
Nga, who is Teluk Intan MP and Aulong state assemblyman, said the opposition had exploited Ngeh, resulting in a reply to an oral question taking an hour.
“The opposition’s behaviour is very bad and it is obvious their intention is not to ask questions but only to irritate.
“I noticed that in the 40 minutes of question time, only one question was answered. This shows that the opposition has not fulfilled its promise to be a constructive opposition,” he said on the sidelines of the state assembly meeting.
“Do not be too generous. I know Ngeh is trying his best to accommodate all the unreasonable requests made by the opposition,” Nga added. -FMT
